Founded in 1980, the Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia (PSZ) is a non-political and non-religious professional body that serves to represent the interests of Zambian Pharmacists and Pharmacy technologists. It coordinates its activities into an organized forum for association with members, other professionals, affiliates or affiliated bodies and the general public. The main aim of the PSZ is to ensure that the highest standards of pharmaceutical training and practice across all sectors are maintained to ultimately ensure that the nation receives the best pharmaceutical care and practice.
PSZ National Council
PSZ’s highest organ is its National Council. All provincial branches and affiliate organisations as well as sector groups are represented in the National Council and have voting rights. PSZ representatives on orgainsations the PSZ is affiliated to also participate in the Council. The National Council is responsible for all the decisions and directions of the National Executive committee in between AGMs.
